The Suburban Outlaw™

Enjoy the Summer with Friends

By Pam Sherman | July 15, 2009

I recently ventured out with some fellow Suburban Outlaws and was pleased to see the restaurant we chose buzzing with a brisk business…on a Tuesday….outside! It was a beautiful night and groups were out and about enjoying the gorgeous weather and each other.  My favorite was a group of women who all changed their shoes to wear flip flops adorned with moose.  I couldn’t help but think of those groups, the Red Hat Society or the Blue Thong Society (yes there is one).  I suppose these women gathered together out of  a shared love of moose.  I offered to take a picture of their bethonged feet and they happily posed.  Mostly I think they were gathered together for the same purpose we were: to enjoy the comfort of good friends and a beautiful summer night.  So call yourself a Suburban Outlaw, Moose Lover, or Just Good Friends,  and get together to toast the moon, the summer, and all the wonderful things we have to enjoy.

And: Fellow Suburban Outlaws remember to join me at the Pittsford Wegmans on July 22nd between 6-8 for the signing of my new book, The Suburban Outlaw: Tales from the EDGE sponsored by Rochester Magazine.   Pick up  your tickets at That’s the Ticket Outlets at Wegmans.
